Once
upon a time...
there
was art and school and books and shows... but before all that
there was a very creative duo (her Parents) who bore several very
creative children. The Daughter, eschewing her heritage, went
out into the world to seek her fortune. First she tried Medical
Technology, and though that worked reasonably well for a while,
the Daughter was uncomfortable because the fit was not quite right...
there were pulls and pinches that left her feeling bruised and
sad. So she picked up her bag and went out into the world again
to seek her fortune and a better fit.
Thinking
that all that she had learned so far should not go to waste (she
was very practical), the Daughter tried her hand at the Medical
Industry. Here she found many many outlets for her annoyingly
persistent creativity in the forms of writing and training and
marketing and product management, but still the fit was not quite
right; the pulls and pinches were different, but still rather
more uncomfortable and frustrating and oh, how she longed for
a better fit.
Then,
one day, the corporate wizards decreed that the kingdom of Division
was to be sold, banished. Aha! An opportunity. The Daughter decided
to (finally) heed that truely annoyingly persistent creativity,
escape the Division and give Costume Design a go. After all, she
had been dabbling at it for years, and, clearly, all her practicality
thus far was just giving her a pain.
And
so, ever hopeful, the Daughter, Molly, went out in the world yet
again, seeking, and finding, just the right fit.
And at her side was,
and is, her gracious, charming and creative Prince, David, whose
understanding, faith, encouragement, and support have sustained
her heart and soul for lo, these many years.
